@BearsShowYo@ShamsCharania i dont think yall understand that the 2011 Mavs’ 2nd best player and scorer DIDN’T PLAY A SINGLE GAME IN THE ENTIRE PLAYOFFS.
that’s without even mentioning the hardest competition ever, only 1 all star on the team, older guys not even in the prime, etc etc. I could go on.
@BenJustJamin13@Wtumn_ What?? It IS for sure better. Tell me with a straight face you would trade Gafford + 5th pick for Zubac. AND Gafford makes less % of the cap. If you don’t respond I’ll know you ran away.
@Out_of_Hornets those replies are telling me people still have no clue just how good a prospect flagg is… Imagine his rookie year if he didn’t reclass up a year.
It's possible I'm replying to a bot but been wanting to hit on the idea of "once defenses start game planning for him." For those who have been watching this has been happening for the vast majority of the year. Cooper is the #1 focus of opponent scouting reports.
In an effort to quantify this concept, the NBA has created a metric this year called Defensive Pressure Score. They're using high speed player tracking cameras to measure things like distance from defender to offensive player, available passing lanes, speed of movement, position of other players on the floor etc. and optimizing with an algorithm. It's all quite fascinating and an intriguing effort to try and measure how defenses are focusing on an individual player.
The DPS number is on a 0-1 measurement scale. Cooper Flagg's Defensive Pressure Score (0.851) is the 19th highest of the 130 qualifying players in the league. Just above and below him are players like Booker, Kawhi, Embiid, Harden, Banchero and Jalen Johnson. He edges out Derik Queen for the highest Defensive Pressure Score of any of the 8 qualifying rookies.
You can read more about this if you like below but it's long since been the case that "defenses are game planning for him."
@MFollowill@TheSteinLine when paolo pushed cooper with his elbow for the foul on cooper’s and 1, im pretty sure coopers head snapped to the ground and gave him a concussion. look at his reaction afterwards too he’s blinking hard
