@stoated_out@pioneer_ten a study that helps with this is drawing the shadows of a face instead of its individual features; this helps you conceptualize the face as a 3 dimensional object even from angles where it's easy to flatten it, and understand how the planes of the face interact
@stoated_out@pioneer_ten it also structures the face better bc it's at an angle instead of being straight on. a lot of ppl have the tendency to paste features onto foward faces instead of really thinking about the depth & structure of the skull and how all the parts interact with each other
@Timmetie@soychotic Thought the Martian was alright, picked up Artemis and was shocked at how horrendously it dealt with the topics of gender/sex/ethnicity/religion (not a good sign when your protagonist is an arab woman...) At least with PHM he went back to his comfort zone of nerdy white men.
@Jenny_DoesStuff@lconlx@N4pstr@PronounPyronite she got covid during the pandemic and was sick for 8 months straight, she's very lucky to be alive. for a long time she was bedridden from sickness but thanks to streaming she's been able to pay for the medical care she needs & can do things like walk/eat again
@Pepeniyo1@voooooogel It's referring to calendar dates, and the autistic answer is "definitely agree". A common autistic trait is an obsession with numbers (you see similar questions in the test about this topic) and there are people who get really fixated on memorizing the dates of things.
@neezjutzzzz@tbmagoo@voooooogel the test is designed to be annoyingly ambiguous because someone without autism would assume it's talking about calendar dates and move on, whereas someone with autism might get caught by the ambiguity and complain/ask for clarification
@sugarrr___5@Bluescat227 i know plenty of "theyfabs" who are non-transitioning in the sense that they're not interested in hrt/surgeries but they're still visibly and socially queer. it's ridiculous to police whether people are presenting themselves "correctly" as if nonbinary isn't an umbrella label
@vilecrimetrio@Chromateded no way you said with a straight face you didn't think it was that bad when your d looks like this LMAO i think you might need to practice legibility for writing that others are gonna see
@gawainkyo@ireallyknowyu cute!! definitely nothing wrong with using your own pics however you want to make art, you'd be shocked at how much professional artists do it
@gawainkyo if you're color picking it's also better to select the colors from the color wheel manually, and even try to push those colors in saturation/value so you can better capture the 'feel' of the image rather than perfectly copy what you're seeing
@gawainkyo@ireallyknowyu (also, here's a tip for this type of practice if you want to help ingrain it in ur brain + feel less like you copied; once u finish your traced version, try using what that taught u abt the structures of the figure & redraw it without tracing, taking note of what u get wrong)
