Thanks to our members who took part in interviews and @JulieanneCorr in the @thetimes for highlighting the inhumane wait times and many obstacles getting mental health support for your child from #CAMHS
This video is incredibly triggering for us so we didn't share it yesterday
But it encapsulates the level of disingenuity and gaslighting we've found ourselves constantly up against the past 18 months
9m on phone pouches yet only 2.9m for #CAMHS
Back to twitter we are! A pause was needed over summer
Updates:
1/ In Leaders Questions 12June, Simon Harris said he'd be happy to have direct&ongoing engagement with our group..so of course we asked for a meeting!
But our emails are now going unanswered&no date received🤔

Your child becomes unwell and needs help..your doctor says it's at a level they should be seen by #CAMHS.
For 60% of our members this marks the start of a long battle trying to get their child into the service. Support in the meantime = not there. Early intervention = impossible
Our group has grown a lot in the last few days and stories are being shared..
A common one is autistic children with suicidal ideation being turned away from #CAMHS
Focus being on their autism not their suicidal ideation. These are children. This is scary and dangerous 😔
Great this is starting to get some attention. Our autistic kids deserve as much support with mental health issues as their neurotypical peers. #CAMHS@dublinpeople @Wardy1916
