Blessed to spend the year watching my boys do life together at Cole HS. They have coaches and teachers who have poured into them both in the classroom and in their athletic pursuits. We are very thankful for the environment Cole has provided for our boys to pursue greatness.
We will have four amazing student athletes competing at the UIL State Track meet on Thursday. These kids work hard every day and represent Cole well, on and off the track. Finish this season strong Cougars!
On to STATE for Track in the 800 and 1600. This will be Caden’s third state meet qualification in his third sport during his sophomore year (cross country, swim, and track). What a way to end the year. Go chase it buddy boy!
Levi was awarded First Team All District Honors and Newcomer Of The Year. He ended his season with 25 goals and 20 assists. His goal at the beginning of the season was to be dangerous and create. He accomplished both of those and I am so proud of his efforts.
Jacob was awarded District Honorable Mention this season. This kid gave his all even though his season was ended early due to a shattered toe. So proud of this kid’s work ethic and grit.
Madison qualified for the NAIA National Championship Outdoor Track Meet getting standards in the 200m (second time ever running it), Long Jump (19’8”), and the Triple Jump (39’).
AAC Indoor Champion in LJ, TJ, 200m, and 400m (meet and school record). Madison crushed her conference championship meet. She has found a place where her coaches support her as an athlete and a person. They push her to be the best version of herself. Next stop, NAIA Nationals.
Injuries are a part of sports and teams need to adjust accordingly. Tonight the Cole boys showed a resiliency to adjust to the needs of the team. Not everyone is playing where they want to play or where they are most comfortable, but they are playing for each other. Great win!
All three Kitson boys are State-bound!! Caden was the Regional Champion in the 200IM and runner up in the 100 backstroke. Jacob and Caden both advance in the 200 medley relay and 400 free relay. Jacob and Levi both advance in the 200 free relay. Way to represent boys!
