Thank you for sharing this.
I have already reported my case through Chainabuse and also submitted a detailed report by email to TRM Labs.
In my case, blockchain tracing showed that the stolen funds ultimately reached HTX deposit addresses. However, cross-border cooperation remains extremely difficult for individual victims.
Do you think reports submitted through Chainabuse and TRM Labs can help support law enforcement in cases involving HTX?

One of the biggest issues with these reports is companies never share source material so you cannot verify the claims and overstate numbers based on flawed assumptions.
Think a lot of my success can be credited to being transparent about my data when possible.
I generally only trust reports on illicit flows from top investigators at these entities:
Firms: CryptoForensic Investigators or ZeroShadow
Analytics companies: Chainalysis or TRM
Everyone else has a lower quality threshold for output or is incapable.
Slow Mist & Elliptic can be ok just a bit less consistent.
Good onchain research is still rare due to a lack of overall talent and understanding.

I am a victim of a pig butchering crypto scam in Japan.
My stolen funds were traced on the blockchain to HTX.
I hope international law enforcement agencies continue working together to trace, freeze, and recover victims’ assets.
(私は日本で豚の肥育詐欺の被害に遭いました。盗まれた資金はブロックチェーン上でHTXまで追跡されています。国際的な法執行機関が連携し、被害資産の追跡・凍結・回収を進めることを期待しています。)

On June 9, the FBI kicked off Operation Riptide, our ongoing, coordinated campaign targeting the criminal actors, infrastructure, and financial networks behind cybercrime, cyber-enabled crime, and fraud against the American people. During the last two weeks, the FBI, working alongside domestic and international partners, executed multiple disruptive actions in support of Operation Riptide.
➡️@FBICleveland, in coordination with private sector partners, conducted a technical takedown operation against Outsider, a Chinese phishing-as-a-service platform.
➡️As the result of an investigation by @FBI_Nashville, @FBISanDiego, and @FBIElPaso, a Conti ransomware actor pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy in connection with a scheme that infected more than 1,000 computers and networks worldwide.
➡️@FBIBoston announced their support of the international takedown of the First VPN service, used to compromise businesses in the U.S. and around the world.
➡️We joined international law enforcement partners in announcing the disruption of SocGholish malware.
This is only the beginning—we will continue identifying, disrupting, and dismantling the networks that support cybercrime and victimize Americans.
Crypto fraud case record.
In late May, I reported my case to Dubai Police regarding stolen funds traced to an HTX-related wallet.
After sending additional updates from Tether and HTX, I received a reply stating that my complaint/information had been forwarded to the concerned section.
No case number or investigation result has been confirmed yet.
Still, it does not appear that my report was rejected.
Cross-border crypto fraud cases take a long time.
私が被害に遭った「豚の肥育詐欺」は、日本だけでなくアメリカでも深刻な問題になっています。国境を越えた組織的犯罪に対し、各国が連携して捜査と資金回収を進めてほしいです。
Pig butchering scams are a global problem. I hope international cooperation will help investigate these crimes and recover victims’ funds.

🇺🇸 FBI Director Kash Patel says authorities are intensifying efforts to crack down on “pig butchering” crypto scams, stressing that fraudsters have exploited and stolen from Americans for far too long.
The message is clear: organized crypto scammers are in the crosshairs.
Do you think tougher enforcement will reduce crypto fraud? 👇
Crypto fraud case record.
I contacted TRM Labs and shared wallet information and a blockchain tracing report.
I asked whether TRM Labs could cooperate if Japanese law enforcement reaches out through an official investigation request.
My purpose is not private recovery. I am seeking formal cooperation through police and judicial authorities.

The FBI just put crypto scammers on notice
"This FBI will find you, and we will bring you to justice." That's FBI Director Kash Patel's message to crypto fraudsters, posted Friday as part of the bureau's Operation Level Up against crypto-related cybercrime.
The scale is the story. @FBIDirectorKash says Americans lost billions to cyber theft last year, with more than half of it tied to cryptocurrency. The video alongside the post zeroes in on "pig butchering," where scammers build trust over weeks before steering victims into fake crypto platforms.
And the warning carries weight. It follows a string of FBI takedowns this year, including 276 arrests across global scam centers and millions in crypto frozen.
Americans reported $7.2 billion in cryptocurrency fraud losses in 2025 alone
276 people arrested. Nine scam centers dismantled. Operations ran across Dubai, Southeast Asia, and Myanmar
The FBI's Operation Level Up has notified nearly 9,000 victims and saved an estimated $562 million since 2024
The scam centers used a technique called pig butchering basically months of relationship building before the financial kill
Many of the workers running these operations were themselves trafficking victims, forced to defraud strangers at gunpoint
The DOJ's Scam Center Strike Force targeted the entire lifecycle —compounds, digital infrastructure, and money laundering networks simultaneously
276 arrests
$7.2 billion lost last year
The math on those two numbers tells you everything about the scale of what remains
It ain't the whole truth but heyyyyy here's a cool trailer for our future activities
I'm sat for this next wave
@zachxbt This shows why blockchain tracing and proper law enforcement coordination are so important.
Victims also need a clear way to submit tracing reports, transaction records, and exchange correspondence to authorities.
Update on my UK Report Fraud / Action Fraud filing.
My report was recorded, but it has not been allocated to a UK police force for investigation at this stage, as there were insufficient lines of enquiry.
I later contacted the Report Fraud chat service to ask how I could submit supporting evidence.
I was told that evidence documents cannot be uploaded directly to the report.
Instead, I should state in the report that I hold supporting evidence and keep the documents safely.
If the police need the evidence, they will contact me directly.
For now, it appears that my case has at least been recorded by the UK reporting system.
