@Chicago_Goofies Adding lanes just adds more traffic to fill those lanes. The best way to lower traffic is to remove the cars in some way. Bike lanes are one, busses are another.
There are plenty of videos of emergency vehicles being stuck in multi lane traffic with no bike lane in site.
@Iumiescent According to my brother the "God of War" the game is named after isn't Kratos, it's Ares.
(This is not a game I've played. I just show him the video game drama when I see it.)
@KhetIsFat@prowlores@DallasCrank1@Iumiescent THIS conversation is about video games but your question "If someone tells you "God of War", who do you think of?" Comes across as being asked this OUTSIDE of this conversation thread.
Your example question doesn't bring up video games.
Still even knowing what you mean its Ares.
@juleskingxx More GL needs to be licensed, no argument there.
What doesn't help though is that a lot of people only seem to posts about GL when they are complaining about BL and that unfortunately pushes people away.
@GholiHav I used to read a lot of webcomics that were a page a week. Sometimes a page a month. I don't think some of these people could handle that. XD
2. Developed.
He developed a recipe. He didn't invent a dish. HE knows he didn't invent it and he NEVER claimed to. But he DID develop the recipe he uses at his job.
While develop and invent have similar definitions they are not interchangeable.
@yogawithben "No one dared to singularly claim to have developed it."
This should read as INVENTED it. Every single bakery would have developed their own recipe for the same dish to work with their ingredients and machinery. Some of them may be basically the same but they were individually>
@Foxxrott@lydialoooks 2 things. He didn't say he invented anything. He has probably made vegan ice cream before as well. But he had to develop this recipe to have a good texture and flavour.
Second. Vegan ice cream and sorbetes are not the same. Same as how gelato and ice cream are not the same.
@totally_not_ace@Rockabye2512@lydialoooks He said in a comment the main thing was not having it taste like coconut. Which is a common enough problem when using coconut as a substitute.
Seeing as every new flavour will need to be developed even if they are all using a coconut milk vegan base.
@CyanLizard9@sadsadlady_ Sure. 🤷♀️
If you want to misunderstand like everyone else that's your choice.
You may not be mad yourself but you are still perpetuating ignorance and that's really such a shame. Just makes people not want to interact with Filipino culture in any way.
@cartiray1@commannand@heyrow@monicaferil@4ArmedFreak 2. What people in NA traditionally think of as ice cream.
What he made was vegan ice cream because he was trying to mimic the texture of dairy ice cream.
It's like how the main difference between gelato and ice cream is gelato has more milk and is denser. So different dish.
@cartiray1@commannand@heyrow@monicaferil@4ArmedFreak Sorbetes ≠ vegan ice cream just like how gelato ≠ ice cream.
Ube sorbetes can be vegan but that doesn't mean it's vegan ice cream.
From what people have been saying sorbetes is closer to a sorbet/ice cream hybrid (for a simplified visual) as it's a bit "icy" in comparison to>
