hey @TheWarOnCars would it be possible to have an episode detailing both the Apple Store and the Raleigh Christmas Parade crash? Maybe to talk about what safety features went wrong?
@TaliaRinger Sometimes it takes several iterations. If it's too much, you can say "Sorry, I'm not getting it. Can you write it down for me? I'll figure it out and get back to you as soon as I can." With good rapport, you can also ask if someone else in the class can answer.
@TaliaRinger Is this something where repeating helps? "I think you are asking <rephrase question to best understanding>. Is that your question?" If yes, answer. If no, get them to ask with rewording and try again.
I don't have a good way of running a grammar checker on my work. I copy the LaTeX into Word and just click through things like "\scalebox isn't a word!" but it's so tedious
@ClaudioJacobo Actually I have a hierarchy of colors so it might take multiple passes. Yellow for supporting ideas, green for things I don't understand, orange for potential references to read.
@ClaudioJacobo Skim first, highlighting in blue anything that seems like a main topic or important idea (often first sentence of a paragraph). Then go back through and read the blue, writing questions in margin. Then read remainder to see if questions answered.
