I'm not a Congress supporter, not even remotely, but I think it's important to acknowledge moments like this regardless of which party was in power.
In 2005, students at JNU greeted Dr. Manmohan Singh with black flags and slogans over his economic policies. When the university issued notices to the protesters, he reportedly asked that no action be taken against them, recognising their right to peaceful protest.
What's even more striking is how he began his speech that day. He quoted Voltaire: I may disagree with what you say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it.
That is the kind of democratic principle we should expect from every government, regardless of its political ideology.
The whole story of One Piece is Luffy overthrowing tyrants. A simple google search would've told him that.
Meanwhile bhakts in the QTs are going "wow what an expose." Insane ignorance.🤣🤣🤣
Why is the protest illegal?
We didn't give them permission.
Why didn't you give them permission?
They applied too late.
So what?
3 days is not enough to make the security arrangements.
Ah ok. So what were you able to arrange to stop the protests?
25,000 cops, 300 CC TVs, 12 detention centers, 7 layers of barricades.
#WATCH | Delhi: Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) Chief Spokesperson Saurav Das says, "They seized our phones but did not provide a seizure memo... We suspect our phones were hacked or cloned. Just as has happened to other activists over the years, we fear they may have hacked into our devices to plant documents or other material to be presented later as evidence... We want to state here that our phones have likely been compromised..."
Rapes happen elsewhere - Yet this is the only country where a Rapist gets parole 18 times because a party needs votes.
Only country where a man who got CONVICTED for raping a minor, takes a health holiday and gets 5 star treatment in temples celebrated by other swami types and bhakts.
You say Hindus are the best, no? How is this OK? How come there is no outrage ?
And most importantly NOBODY In the US responds to the Cornell Rape saying ‘Rapes happen everywhere not just in the US’.
If Women are Goddesses etc explain the rape culture.
Today - at Jantar Mantar- whatever happened— is totally against democracy. Protest is the right of every citizen to raise voice against injustice. Govt must think and act accordingly. #JantarMantar
