This is useful! I contacted them in January and they admitted to being late. 8/12 later no response so now escalating to the ombudsman. They have a legal duty to inform members of their pension position. The scheme is so complex and obtuse it’s impossible to work out liability
The Corsi-Rosenthal box is the best air purifier we've tested out of 26 —and it's one we built ourselves! How can it the BEST air purifier when we've got sleek Dysons, portable Levoits, and much cooler boxes of filters? Our newest R&D Video answers that! https://t.co/EwcN8B1jXL
1/ The classic CR Box wins again. Every independent journal article & independent tests like this one show the CR Box as more effective at removing harmful aerosol particles from indoor air than any other of dozens of air cleaners tested. Usually BY FAR.
Clean indoor air should not be a luxury. We supply air cleaners to homes, schools and community spaces in the UK that cannot afford to buy one. If that is you, you can apply. https://t.co/FCiCUDLZnJ #CleanAir
First two English re-marks are back. Increased by 12 and 16 marks. A difference of two grades from 3 to 5. How on earth are we supposed to know which grades to get checked? Report says clerical error. Why doesn’t that trigger a recall of all marks by that marker? Not good enough
The student loan system is a shambles. I left university with a debt of £42,139.
I have worked continuously for a decade and when I last checked I had paid back £21,045.
My balance was however £44,727 - higher than when I left.
The interest payments on plan 2 student loans do not behave like an ordinary debt. The interest on it is variable; pegged to inflation - not CPI, the measure the govt routinely uses, but RPI which most economists say overstates inflation.
The interest also goes UP as you earn more - making it harder to pay off the debt.
There are not many alternatives available to 17/18 year olds whose parents can't afford to pay the fees and the Treasury Select Committee, having taken evidence from hundreds of graduates, said the loans had been mis-sold.
The system is regressive - I've written about it here for @zeteouk https://t.co/2JUxivnRDX
@amwilson_opera@AngelaRayner@andyburnham The whole of Cornwall is getting concreted over and covered in houses that are neither affordable or likely to last 50 years due to poor build quality. But who needs grass, or trees or plants?
Porn made strangulation look routine. Many school resources still treat porn as “just part of life” instead of explaining how extreme and unrealistic it is.
Non-fatal strangulation is now a criminal offence. Parents need to tell their children clearly: what they see online is dangerous, can cause brain injury, and can put them in prison even if they thought their partner “consented.”
There is no safe way to strangle. NONE!
Glaciers are melting and collapsing because the planet is heating.
Every day I think today will be the day that the media rises up and demands emergency action - but there are still far more broadcasters and journalists arguing we shouldn’t stop emissions.
I really don’t think it’s unfair to say we are intent on killing ourselves because that is what we are doing. There’s no doubt about it.
Weekly hospitalisation for Severe Acute Respiratory Infection (mostly flu) in NZ has spectacularly worsened.
Our 2026 peak is 86% above the pre-pandemic average peak. 2025 was up 27%.
This is SARS-CoV-2 immune dysregulation in action. Flu hits damaged immune systems harder.
New Zealand is deep in a brutal Flu A wave right now and the stories coming out are wild.
“Children with influenza A that is evolving into horrific things like severe respiratory failure, encephalitis, guillian barre syndrome… Its not just a flu.”
“They have an unprecedented number of children in there at the moment with flu… some of them do sadly die in there.”
“It has felt worse than Covid and I was hospitalised during lockdown with Covid.”
“One of my classes today had nearly half the kids out due to illness… I don’t remember ever seeing it this bad before.”
“My son’s high school had just under half students away last week sick. It’s a school of thousands!”
Hospitals code red, clinics overwhelmed, people still showing up to work coughing up bright yellow phlegm like they are heroes.
If this is what the southern hemisphere Winter looks like, the northern hemisphere better get ready.
In case you missed it:
A study of more than 236,000 patients found no consistent evidence that NHS virtual wards reduce hospital admissions, length of stay or readmission rates.

@DMRJock@LoftusSteve But what should the walk be like? I live 15 mins from the station but the roads are unlit, there is no pavement and often barely space for two cars to pass. An application has gone in for 40 houses in the field below me.
