@RobBryher These decisions require very difficult trade-offs of benefits and losses. Do councillors have access to technical advice and modelling to inform such trade-offs? The phase 'I thought' suggests a personal rather than an evidence-based process?
@RobBryher I'm concerned that you appear to value trees by what they mean to you personal, as a visual amenity, rather than their value to the ecosystem,
The beauty of sound .. of music, and of the voice
A water hose attached to a speaker system -> observable sound vibrations in the water (using a 24 fps camera)
Different sound vibration frequencies -> different water patterns

We have asked @MarvinJRees to correct the Local Plan Policies Map so that those other SNCIs threatened with development are given full planning protection:

Hopefully a motion to do this will be brought forward to Full Council Meeting on 9 May.
Have loved Christopher Alexander and co's A Pattern Language for more than 20 years. Finally have a chance to apply it in my own life in helping design a small hamlet in rural France.
Love to hear of anyone else's experience in practical applications.
pleased with this solution to showing bi-variate data on a map: regions (LSOAs) are coloured according to the tree canopy with an inner circle coloured according to the level of social deprivation
Urgent!!!! Contractors have shown up to rip up hedgerows at Yew Tree Farm!! They don’t have planning permission but claim they can rip out ancient hedgerows because there’s no TPO. We need everyone to help stop this ASAP! Please spread this message. @Catherinewith11 needs you.
Soon, most developments will be obliged to achieve at least 10% biodiversity net gain.
This article explains how this can be used to protect and benefit our precious urban trees by making sure that it is properly applied. https://t.co/OH5rlEfltN
@mananself@divbyzero You might find this customisable version useful -it generates both hat and turtle tiles and the continum from comet to chevon in a few different forms https://t.co/rYKVRZFvm9

It was @BristolTreeFora that applied for the trees on the site to be protected by a TPO.
If @BristolZooGdns 'worked with the Council' to secure this TPO, it was because they had no choice.
