An exciting trip to Burera for an exchange between Kivu noir Cafe and @culinaryinnovationvillage . Where knowledge exchange brought us together, passion and genuine connections became the highlight!
Beginning with Culinary Innovation Village’s African spice laboratory, to a beautiful team dinner and lessons shared by Chef Malonga, every moment reflected the creativity and depth of African products and culture.
The trip concluded with Coffee processing, sensory, and brewing guide presented by the Kivu noir team. Leaving both sides inspired by the uniqueness of locally sourced products through taste, craft, and collaboration!
We stand in solidarity with the victims and survivors of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda. Today and always, we remember.

Since joining the team in 2023, Gael has brought passion, skill, and dedication to coffee excellence from day one. We’re proud to have him as part of the Kivu noir team.
Outside the café, Gael enjoys playing billiards with friends, going on road trips, sharing good meals, and watching movies, basically any excuse to connect and enjoy great company!
