Justin Herbert is the black magic voodoo QB conjured from every complaint Chargers fans made watching Philip Rivers.
Phil runs like a newborn giraffe? "Man, if only he could get away from this pressure." Enter Herbert, built like prime Cam Newton, trucking defenders and running with the best of them.
Another 4th quarter duck thrown for a pick? "Man, I wish we could actually throw deep." Enter Herbert's howitzer, launching 70 yard passes flat-footed.
But all magic comes with a price.
Everything that made Rivers great? Gone. The prophetic pre-snap reads. The hot routes and audibles. The fiery, trash-talking leadership.
It’s like we made a deal with the devil… got everything we asked for, but lost everything we had.
"Hey Charlie remember the time we met gary coleman?"
"Oh yeah."
[30 seconds of silence]
"That was pretty cool."
Seth McFarlane's completely reasonable and rational response:
So here’s the elephant in the room. 🐘
Was told this week by someone who works in the tv media space that the drop off of viewers in the final 30 to 40 mins of #NRL telecasts each week now significant, and in some instances at alarming levels.
The blow out results and touch footy shit style of game turning people off, literally. All for one more try and tv commercial more on average than last yr.
Major concern for both media opps is that in many instances a game is a lead into a major revenue show (like news bulletin or Matt Johns Show, etc) and so they in now so many instances they also now getting big drop off numbers.
Getting 9 tries a game and a few more commercials won’t mean jack shit in the future if the second half of your coverage is in free fall and your audience lead ins to key network shows plummeting.
We’ve let the tv and NRL game execs break down the original, traditional fabric of the game.
🗣️ "He's doing my head in!" 🤣
Safe to say Wayne Rooney won't be cutting The United Strand's hair if #MUFC win tonight. 👀

I got to be friends with David Lynch when we were both at Universal years ago. A very kind man, he was a fan of Bob's Big Boy. So was I. I'm going to miss him. R.I.P. David.
