Purposely making himself look prettier because, after being feared his whole life, he’s deemed his original appearance unapproachable and scary

I like to think that Xiao has greatly altered his appearance like hiding scars, markings injuries his old master gave him, cutting his talons short & wearing gloves 24/7 so he doesn’t have to look at them
