I went to Spotify looking for a jazz standard sung by Nancy Wilson only to remember that she never recorded it, only sang it live on an episode of The Cosby Show.
This is an example of how my musical memory works. Often.

I might not be winning at life.
But it’s only 6:15 and I’m showered, in my PJs, watching football with my husband, eating wings. (Bone-in, of course.)
I’m winning at today.

Nine years ago, it was just us. We were sticky and sweet, green and hopeful.
Today, we stole these smiles with our kids threatening to photo bomb, knowing more, on a school spirit night.
Still hopeful, still choosing to stay.
It’s not our anniversary. I’m just thankful. 🩷✨
Getting to enjoy Amelia Bedelia through our seven year old daughter is bringing a refreshed joy to my bookworm heart.
It really is the little things!

I’ve been in Texas for eight years and there’s one thing this IL girl can’t accept.
Fire ants.
Ants shouldn’t be able to bite. Like, what happened to ants being harmless?!
It’s wild out here.
Wearing lipstick can make any day feel like a holiday!
The fun and frivolity of a lippie add zest to my run-of-the-mill days.
Happy #NationalLipstickDay! 💄
All it takes for me to cut the fool is “Getting Wit It” coming on in HEB. Now it’s lit down the ice cream lane.
SMH.
I’m sorry to these kids. I’m only in the infant stages of embarrassing them. 🙃😁
There isn’t one right way to declare God’s greatness.
His greatness is so vast that it takes a variety of styles, languages, and cultural practices to show forth the magnitude of His worth.
The declarations are secondary. The Great One is the point. Everything points to Him.
Whenever I make “supper” and it’s ready at 5:00 on the dot, I feel like I’ve overcome or something.
Because “someday” is when it’ll happen again! 😂
The family has time to walk, let their food digest, everything!
Enjoy, y’all and never expect it again! 😆
