At this week’s meeting, our Guides and Embers (re)discovered what it means to Lend a Hand and Be Prepared in our everyday lives. Embers “raised a hand” to help out and Guides “took a step” towards always being prepared!

On Saturday October 19th, we celebrated the Huttonville Guiding 60th Anniversary! Over 200 of our family, friends, former Guides and Guiders came together to mark the event, including some local distinguished guests!

Beautiful day at the Brampton Flight Centre! 11th Guides and 15th Embers from Brampton learned all about airplanes and even got to try out the controls in the cockpit!! Looks like we may have some future pilots here! ✈️

This week’s meeting was all about engineering as we finished up our Design Space badge! Brampton’s 11th Guides and 15th Embers used teamwork to problem solve as we built ramps, marble runs and catapults!

A Rainbow of Fun! 11th Guides and 15th Embers of Brampton had a colour meeting completing our Science Lab badge! Continuing from last week, we experimented extracting dyes from candy & chromatography, made marker stained glass and even stained glass candy! @girlguidesofcan

This week was tasty rainbow fun!
Guides & Embers made swirls in milk, stretched a gummy worm as long as it could go, then explored density in liquids to make tasty drinks!
We finished off by tasting the rainbow and ranking tastes we liked…and didn’t like!

Brampton’s 11th Guides & 15th Embers explored ideas of service and advocacy in our community. We worked together to find out what we are passionate about & our Lady Baden-Powell award candidates are helping organize a warm clothing drive! @girlguidesofcan @girlguidesonnv

Brampton’s 11th Guides & 15th Embers went on an amazing adventure to Toronto’s Ward's Island. Members took the train and ferry, saw the art in the neighborhood, had a picnic, and even visited the island fire & EMS station!
