Shocking Police Brutality Against Afghan Migrant in Iran
A harrowing video has emerged, shedding light on the horrific reality of police brutality in Iran. The footage captures a heart-wrenching moment where police officers mercilessly throw an Afghan migrant to the ground. In a scene reminiscent of George Floyd’s tragic death, one officer cruelly presses his foot on the migrant’s neck.
This atrocity occurred in the village of Absard, Damavand County. The source of the video reports that the Afghan migrant was arrested after he refused to enter a vehicle. What followed was a brutal beating by the officers before they dragged him away.
The video has ignited a wave of outrage, underscoring a glaring hypocrisy: while Supreme Leader Khamenei vocally condemns similar incidents abroad, his regime’s enforcers perpetuate such barbarity at home.
This flagrant abuse of power demands immediate action. The world must not turn a blind eye to this violence. There is an urgent need for a thorough investigation and strict accountability to uphold human rights and protect the defenseless from such egregious cruelty.
Racism and Police Brutality in the US and Iran
Two Images, One Message, and Two Types of Response and Reflection:
Tragic events such as the murder of George Floyd in the United States and the violent treatment of an Afghan migrant by Iranian police highlight the deep-rooted racism and systemic violence present in various societies. Despite geographical and cultural differences, these incidents share notable similarities in the police's violent behavior and disregard for the victims' human rights.
In both cases, the police used unnecessary violence, endangering the lives of individuals and continuing their racist and inhumane actions despite the victims' pleas and cries. These behaviors indicate that racism and racial discrimination are not confined to a specific country and can manifest in different forms and intensities in any society.
However, there are also differences between these two incidents. In the United States, George Floyd's murder triggered global reactions and widespread protests, leading to media attention and changes in police policies. In contrast, the violent treatment of an Afghan migrant by Iranian police has received less global media attention and faces more restrictions in public expressions of protest. These differences show that the level of awareness and reactions from the global and local communities toward such violent behaviors can vary.
Overall, these two incidents clearly demonstrate that combating racism and police brutality requires continuous and widespread efforts at a global level. Only through increased awareness, education, and policy changes can we hope to reduce these inhumane behaviors.

The Afghan George Floyd: a brutal case of Iranian police brutality. The regime's cruelty is off the charts, crushing innocent immigrants with complete disregard for human dignity. Afghan immigrants face systematic discrimination in Iran, ignored by global HR organizations.
