Inspired by the story of First World War veteran Private Ball, a life-sized knitted solider created by the Syston ‘Knitting Banxy’ was unveiled this morning at our Remembrance Service in the Secret Garden at Glenfield Hospital.

The service was led by our Chaplaincy Team and members of the Executive team.

Busy morning in The Secret Garden @Leic_hospital today. Our wonderful volunteers have been getting our remembrance displays ready ahead of Monday’s service. Our poppy appeal has had over 3,000 poppies knitted and donated, some from as far away as France and Switzerland!
