That forces us to disable comments on tweets, lowering engagement, lest we get hundreds of replies with disinfo & fake hit pieces from blue-check chuds. Only people who WE follow can join in the conversation. You'll note many large accounts have disabled comments recently. 6/

FOR NOW, we can protect ourselves by blocking, but El*n wants to TAKE AWAY the block feature, leaving folks vulnerable to these swarms of el*n bots and trolls. This will open our tweets up to thousands of bullshit replies, rendering our feeds useless. 5/

The goal is to get you to leave the platform, chill your voice, get you to back off, and force you to spend your time blocking and hiding instead of spending your time doing your valuable work. Or worse - to doxx you, threaten you, or cause you to contemplate self-harm. 4/

Once they have those out-of-context replies that appear to contradict your in-context assertions, they mobilize a digital army using DM "war rooms" to FLOOD your tweets with replies containing their farmed "gotcha" moments. If you don't debate, they call you a coward. 3/

They do this by either creating anonymous accounts & targeting topics you care about, or by bribing you into debate with $$ or a large platform.

The purpose is to ask misleading questions designed to elicit a specific response they can use out of context to discredit you. 2/
