@tannerintupelo I agree that HY needs to go. But, I have no idea who would be a good replacement. He’ll have his work cut out for him with football! All other sports are in at least decent shape, with a couple in excellent shape.

@HogCall He’s getting $6.7m in salary, up from the approx. $2.25m he was making at Memphis High. He would be owed $10m in buy-out if fired before 12/31/26 and $7.5m before 12/31/27. Yurachek was feeling generous in that negotiation!

Nothing has happened as a result of it, yet. This is not an exercise that should take long. A few days at the most. My fear is they’ll formally committee and hire one of those third-party consulting firms like some schools do when they need to hire a coach. And we’ll end up with a 47 page report written by the highly respected and respected athletic director from North South Nebraska State College who half the Power 5 ADs claim as their mentor. In other words, a “good ol’ boy” who will advise that Yurachek is the man we need, and that he just needs more money and autonomy.

It just sucks during the fall when there are so many great match ups and various fans are pumped about their teams and their prospects, and here we sit as a gimme win and a non-factor. Teams can look past us to next week with absolutely no worry that we’re a trap game. I work with KSU, OSU, Texas, Florida, LSU, Miss St, and other fans. Most were excited about their games tomorrow. Us Hog fans can only just sit there. (Sigh)

We all knew as soon as soon as Silverfield’s name leaked that we were done for. And it’s really aggravating when you hear he was the first guy HY interviewed. There’s nothing I’ve seen that should make an AD say “I want to talk to this guy first!” I’m guessing no one else really ever had a shot.

@SELFIMMOLATI0N If you get behind a minivan or a vehicle with a handicap tag in the drive thru, just put it in park. In the rare event it’s taken me more than a couple minutes, I’ve told them I’m going to circle back around so I don’t hold others up.

@GolfDeolax Ordered a pair of Q-zips from here several days ago. Still haven’t received. Was finally able to get my tracking number to work. It’s coming all the way from China. :-/ I feel duped. Hopefully, the quality is there and I didn’t fall for the Temu of golf wear.
