Sarcina ventriculi. Seen in GI biopsies with hx of gastroparesis and ulcers. Significance still being investigated. Important to recognize.

Yesterday's case, despite being in the appendix, is the best histologic example I've seen of cribriform comedo-type carcinoma. This was an official subtype of colorectal carcinoma in the WHO 2010 blue book but removed in the WHO 2019 blue book. #pathology #gipath
