@michaelgbaron@andrewsteeled At some point Cohen has to question Stearns & the decisions he’s made. Quintana & Severino were available. The decision to go with Montas & Holmes over them looks terrible now. Hindsight is always easy but he used a prayer, bubble gum & scotch tape to address the staff.
@michaelgbaron Another situation where the Mets have a guy on 3rd with less than 2 outs. Failed to convert. Thankfully Baty came up with a clutch hit. Offense has got to start having productive outs to bring in that run. Too many examples of them failing to do so this season.
@michaelgbaron Continuing the trend of not converting when a man is on 3rd with less than 2 outs. The Mets have to be the worst in the MLB turning that situation into a run. It’s borderline laughable at this point.
@michaelgbaron Is there a stat measuring a team’s ability to get a run in when they have someone on 3rd with less than two outs? It feels like the Mets are really struggling in this area. Would be curious to see how they stack up against other teams.
@PCMtnAlert Charging over $300 for a daily lift ticket is unethical and borderline criminal when you consider the product that they’re offering. Clearly there is little concern for their brand reputation.
@PCMtnAlert With large holiday crowds, should be an amazing time. Can’t believe we chose to spend our money & time coming to this place. Consumers should boycott next & refuse to ever come back.
@art_stapleton Some of it is self inflicted by Shedeur. Trying to do too much and not making smart plays. Obviously one more half of football but he was unimpressive at best. Doesn’t look deserving of 1st round consideration after that performance.
@michaelgbaron Is there a possibility the Mets make a trade for Vlad Jr and sign him to a long term deal in lieu of pursuing Soto? Feels like they have enough prospects to pull this off & fill two voids - middle of the order stick and 1st baseman. Could also sign Burnes.
@just_mets Any idea what they’ve done with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs. I feel like this has been overlooked as I can only remember one time when they had a productive out to bring in the run.
@KFCBarstool I agree but I think we can all agree that it’s been an incredible postseason run. It’s been great to watch & a lot of fun. My greatest takeaway from this postseason is that Alonso isn’t worth a huge deal. He had an iconic moment in Milwaukee but nonexistent aside from that.
@michaelgbaron It’s clear the Dodgers are the better team. It’s been an amazing run and a lot of fun. However, I have to assume the biggest takeaway is that Alonso isn’t worth a huge contract. Yes he had an amazing moment in Milwaukee but has been a non factor & absent aside from that HR.
@michaelgbaron Max Muncy has now had 5 hits and 8 walks this series. Lindor, Alonso, & Nimmo have combined to get on base a combined 13 times. Tough to win when 3 of your top 4 in the lineup are getting out played by the opposing 6 hole hitter.
@michaelgbaron Can you provide the stats that show what the Mets have done this series with a runner on 3rd & less than 2 outs? I could be wrong but I think they’ve only brought that runner home once the entire series. They haven’t been good on every level.
@michaelgbaron A lot of issues & the walks aren’t helping. However the Mets aren’t doing anything offensively.
Muncy, Edman, & Kike have combined for 15 hits this series.
The Mets as a team have 16 hits.
@michaelgbaron Essentially shut out by two starters that gave up 31 earned runs in their combined previous 45 innings. It’s not over but it’s not looking promising.
@michaelgbaron Pitching has been dreadful but the offense has been equally pathetic. I don’t know the stat but the Mets continue to fail with a runner on 3rd & less than two outs. Continuing to walk batters & miss scoring opportunities against good teams typically leads to failure.
