Smith had more longevity because he could still produce. And with more ABs still hit higher than Jones did. Edmonds hit 30 points higher

Jones was washed at 30. .254 career hitter and didn’t get 2000 hits. Ozzie had nearly 2500 on top of being the best defensively so the Ozzie comp doesn’t really work
