Thank you Xavier hurdle crew! What a ride. This group owns the school records in 110 highs, 100 hurdles, 400 lows, both shuttles and the boys now own the 3A state record in the shuttle and brought home gold. I am a very luck guy to get have coached you all. Proud of each of you!
What took him from good to great is the look on his face at the end of that race. He won the state meet and he isn’t satisfied. He is always looking for a way to improve and working on his craft. Proud of ya @GraysonHartman2
His final race with the @XavierSaints wasn't exactly what he'd envisioned... but nevertheless, @GraysonHartman2 ends his high school career with a State title in the 110 hurdles.
Naomi Durin has made the most of her two years running hurdles. Lost one year due to Covid. Lost the next one with a broken foot. Qualified for state last year. 4th place finish at Drake this year. Congrats! Keep grinding to finish out the year. Proud of you!
Proud of this group of young ladies. Ran their best time of the year and finished 7th overall. Not done getting better yet. Congrats @emmarnold22 Ava Van Berkum, Jaclyn Meyer, and Naomi Durin. Proud to be your coach.
Couldn’t be more happy or proud of this dude. His work ethic is amazing! He studies his event, reflects, makes adjustments, and is incredibly coachable. Thank you @GraysonHartman2 for putting in the work and earning this. Drake champ!
Loved every second of watching our Xavier girls compete tonight. Ups and downs as every meet has but a ton for firsts, marks set to beat next go round, and upper classmen being positive leaders and coaching up the young ladies. Proud to be your coach.
What if I informed you that a NCAA All-American female hurdler at a Power 5 school never hurdle at distances greater then 7.90m apart for the 100mH & a hurdle height was always less then 33 except for the 1st hurdle.
@umpref27@Tier1athlete We also talk about adrenaline being different in practice than in meets. It is nearly impossible to simulate the feeling you get while competing and athletes cover more ground when their adrenaline is pumping.
Proud of the effort by Xavier girls & boys track team the past three days. Always so glad to be home with the family. They give up a lot of Dad time so I can do what I love trying to help others achieve their goals. Thanks to all I work with who make my time away worth it.
So proud of how the Xavier boys and girls track squads competed tonight. It was a true joy to watch a lot of hard work pay off for so many. The grind continues. Pumped for the opportunity to keep getting better next week.
Very proud of all the kids for competing the way they did tonight. Also very grateful and proud of all the work the kids put in to help run the meet. Moving hurdles is huge, but helping at the field events is big as well. Thank you to all for working hard tonight.
Absolutely awesome night of track! Thank you to ALL of volunteers that made our Coed Invitational happen! It takes a small army to do it and Xavier has some of the best! @XavierSaints
PLAYERS: You are never a neutral teammate. You are either making things better or making things worse on your team. You are either helping your teammates or not. You are either encouraging or not. You are either providing a good example or not. Great teams have great teammates.
