Dear Reform-voting ladies…
Do you know you’re voting for a party that wants to:
❌ Scrap the Equality Act - your legal protection against workplace discrimination & unequal pay
❌ Kill the Online Safety Act - the law protecting you from revenge porn
❌ Vote AGAINST the bill to stop workplace sexual harassment
❌ Stack the party with anti-abortion politicians - some opposing termination even in cases of rape
❌ Push “pro-family” policies that put women back in the home
I guess the question is…
Do you hate immigrants more than you love your rights?
In the season FSG acquired Liverpool, (2010/11) matchday revenue was £40.9m. Last season it was £115.6m, an increase of 183%.
Matchday revenue is average attendance x number of matches x average price. Fans have to pay VAT of 20% on top of the revenue earned by the Club too.
Taking this into account, the price paid by a fan have increased from £42.44 to £82.11, which is 93.5% during the time that CPI has increased by 49.6%.
Part of this will be due to an increase in the proportion of tickets sold to corporate/hospitality/member fans, but even so, is there justification in the increases in ticket prices to STH?
Liverpool's success in attracting fans from all over the world is partly due to the vibrancy, the passion and the legend of the Kop (similar to the Stretford End, Kippax, Gallowgate, Clock End etc at other clubs historically) and current owners FSG have benefited from that.
They are standing on the shoulders of giants, but they seem to see those fans as a historical inconvenience and now want those fans to either pay up or move on.

About 80-85% of the #LFC fans hold up yellow cards to protest against the planned ticket price increases. Can't see the Main Stand behind to know how many are doing it there. But most of them I can see have done. Chants of "You greedy bastards, enough is enough". The protest then ends with huge chants for the team
The Kop & Anfield stood as one today, supporters totally united.
A clear message to @LFC that couldn’t be louder or more honest.
Take this appalling three-year run of price rises off the table.
Football was built by the working classes.
Price them out, and you strip the game of its soul.

Just after I did this, two Evertonians collared me as I was walking out - saying well in, good on us, they’d saw the Talksport interview etc
The way I and others feel isn’t about who you support but valuing the supporters who make football what it is
I only wish clubs got that
Liverpool supporters' union Spirit of Shankly has announced there will protests "inside and outside Anfield" over the club's planned ticket price increases - starting with next Saturday's home Premier League clash with Fulham.

Due to the club’s planned 3-year ticket-rise strategy that ignored the recommendations of the Supporters Board & sees annual increases for regular match goers, we’d encourage fans not to renew their season tickets until near to the deadline on 25 May- further announcements soon!
