@ethanschoonover Not terribly surprised having been a teacher the school and admin will have been tunnel visioned on safety and procedure. And honestly that doesn’t usually include much communication to the outside.

I helped start & teach this in program w/ my advisor when I was an undergrad at George Fox in the late 90's. I then helped run the program for a year after I graduated. I'm amazed and happy to see that it is still running today over 20 years later. #scienceeducation

Som abortion thoughts: I teach sex ed and when I explain the menstrual cycle, I emphasize that if you are expecting your period, it’s one day late, and you take a pregnancy test, if it comes back positive, you are considered 4 weeks + 1 day into your pregnancy.

To think that today, in 2022 we still live with a federal government that believes it has the moral authority to dictate how individuals should govern their physical bodies literally blows my mind. I am so so angry, profoundly sad and heartbroken.
