Hey @USLChampionship@USL_HQ, let’s talk about this (and the other two) missed PK calls from Saturday.
One of the worst officiating jobs we’ve seen in USL, and that’s saying something…
With decision making like this, if you’re still wondering why I wouldn’t renew season tix @hfdathletic , you’ll never understand the damage you’re doing to your fanbase.

@LETCTINDOTCOM @MLS@NWSL Because fragmenting a base already showing how you can successfully build a fan base with even the worst team in the league on the pitch is a successful strategy. Said no one ever.
Yeah. Both leagues with a Boston and NY presence and league controlled placement. A USL-C franchise already in Hartford not to mention lower divisions. The beautiful game is already generating sellout crowds. No need to fragment the base like a horcrux.
@LETCTINDOTCOM @MLS@NWSL CT’s already in, mate. You can get a seat at the table and help improve the existing professional team. Or you can destroy it. Up to you. Look what happened to San Diego Loyal. Don’t make the same mistakes. @hfdathletic is already here and its supporters aren’t going anywhere 👊
@USLChampionship keeps looking for ways to distance the league from @MLS . Making this call certainly shows our league is not ready to argue for premiere status. @SteelArmy@TheRegiment2 - really sorry the league has no respect for y'all and are giving the points away here.
SOURCE: many @hfdathletic players have been diagnosed with COVID-19, resulting in a barebones squad traveling to @TampaBayRowdies this weekend. Both HFD keepers out & club has to sign emergency keeper, plus players to fill a roster. @USLChampionship will not postpone the match.
Congrats to our Educator of the Match from

Sloth pup-date 🦥 Our baby sloth is named Jeffrey! He is named in honor of a zookeeper’s family member who recently passed. 🤍
You can now see Fiona and Jeffrey hanging around in our Faces of the Rainforest exhibit!
@TheBrightonBard So well written. Ironically, sentiments of the same power can work in reverse. At 58 years old I’ve never been to the UK. Never in my life seen the club play at the AMEX. And based on finances it’s no guarantee I ever will have the chance.
A PAUSE FOR THOUGHT….
Late yesterday afternoon, just as Sussex was heading to bed, a small
cardboard package was delivered to me, the contents of which had a far bigger impact on a 51 year old man from Hove than, logically, it should have.
And I want to try and explain why.
As an ex-season ticket holder, I too have felt the anticipation when piling onto a packed bus at Mill Rd or train at Brighton station.
I too have enjoyed a Piglet’s Pantry pie and a beer as chants echo around the Lower West’s cavernous concourse.
And, I too have felt the lump in my throat as Sussex by the Sea rings around the Amex as the boys come out.
But now I live 4500 miles away I don’t get to, and I miss it more than I can explain.
So, when my Albion+ gift from the club arrived yesterday I was moved in a way I had not expected.
A little tear, honestly. 🥲
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder and, man, do I miss our club, our city and our county.
Tomorrow, no matter where you are, look around and find something that you’d miss if you had to leave. The chat with locals down the pub perhaps, a special view that you get from the Downs, or your favourite walk along a local footpath.
Don’t get me wrong, one day, if I move back to Sussex, I’ll miss things from here in Oklahoma too.
It happens wherever we are.
It is inevitable.
But this afternoon, as I type this, it is the togetherness, the identity and the sense of belonging that I’m aware that being a supporter of the Albion gives you and me.
I mean I’ve never met you have I? But here we are, two humans, connected because of our love of the club.
I don’t know exactly what’s driven to write all this but, on this Tuesday night in Sussex, let’s pause to think about the thousands of people who have helped the Albion in our legendary journey over the last 122 years, as we wouldn’t be connected without them and it’s through their efforts we get to enjoy this incredible time in our club’s history.
It’s only 11 days until you next get to squeeze on bus/train. 11 days until you get to enjoy a pie and drink. 11 days until you feel the lump in your throat as Sussex by the Sea starts up as the boys come out.
Cherish every second. 💙
