This rubbish started when people began calling their pastors and preachers “Daddy,” etc.

Your pastor, prophet, or whatever title they may have cannot play the role of your Dad, Parents, or Abusuapanyin. The Bible recognizes this distinction.

The Bible admonishes us to honor our parents without attaching any conditions to that command. It does not say your parents must be Christians before they are deserving of your honor.

“Honor your father and mother”, which is the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:2

The command is to honor your father and mother, not to honor them only if they share your faith, beliefs, or religious convictions.

All these ones have not undergone any proper theological training and have not even bothered to study to show themselves approved.

I found myself on spiricoco twitter ,where “Christians are sick because they lack the Holy Spirit”.
A lot of times ,people who haven’t experienced life or seen realities and suffering are the first to claim that people are in certain circumstances because they lack the Holy Spirit.

Usually young people, overzealous ,with no life experience.
Go and ask the fathers of faith who have battled with life and death and see if they will speak like this
Believers can get sick ooo. They do get sick .
Most importantly they are assured of healing through faith .
Let’s not be confused , callous and use our naivety in life to hurt brethren that may be suffering.

If you have the Holy Spirit and you are still sad, still heavy, still fighting something you cannot name, this is for you.

You are not a fake Christian. You are in good company. You have the Holy Spirit, so your infirmities can be comforted and helped.

Paul, filled with the Spirit, wrote: "I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart," and he said his conscience confirmed it in the Holy Spirit (Romans 9:1-2). Unceasing anguish. In the Spirit. In the same breath.

Jesus, who had the Spirit without measure, said in Gethsemane: "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even unto death" (Matthew 26:38). If sorrow disqualified you from the Spirit, it would have disqualified the Son of God.

Paul again: "sorrowful, yet always rejoicing" (2 Corinthians 6:10). Both at the same time. Joy in Scripture is not a mood. It is an anchor that holds while the weather does whatever it wants.

Elijah asked God to take his life (1 Kings 19:4). God did not rebuke him. He fed him and let him sleep. David wrote "Why are you cast down, O my soul?" and God put it in the Bible twice (Psalm 42, 43). Psalm 88 ends in darkness with no happy verse at the end, and the Spirit inspired it anyway.

Romans 8:23 says we who have the firstfruits of the Spirit groan. Verse 26 says the Spirit groans with us. He is not standing outside your sadness asking why you are not over it yet. He is in it with you, praying for you with groanings too deep for words.

Jesus called Him the Comforter (John 14:16). A Comforter is only sent to people who will need comforting. Your low seasons are not proof that He left. They are the very thing He was sent for.

So if you are sad tonight, do not add shame to the weight. Bring it to Him honestly, the way David did, the way Paul did, the way Jesus did in the garden. "Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

Heavy laden people. That is who the invitation is for. That is who it has always been for.

Pastor Dolapo once told a personal story. He had held this opinion too, until he had a particular feeling for a prolonged period. He said he felt like he was falling into a dark, endless pit without help. He called a member he had always corrected for saying she was depressed, explained his feelings, and asked if that was how she felt.

The member responded, “Pastor, you get me.”

Some things you have to experience to really understand. Jesus sent another Comforter for a reason. Jesus Himself is a Comforter. If you feel sad or depressed, don’t let a tweet like this discourage or reduce your experience. There’s a place for you in Jesus; He will give you rest.

✅Depression is a medical condition.
✅Suffering from a medical condition doesn’t imply you lack the Holy Spirit .

✅ Elijah ,Job ,David ,Hannah,Jeremiah all showed signs of depression….as for prophet Elijah , he called for death …he wanted to go , but God was his therapist. [gave him food , listened to his cry and didn’t condemn him as “lacking”]

✅By his stripes we are healed , you can be healed by faith ;but healing means there was an affliction first or ?
✅Talking this way as a Christian is callous , alienates the believers who are suffering and makes them feel less Christian.
✅Depression and mental illness is real , can afflict a believer but as believers we know that healing is the bread of His children .
✅Through prayer , faith , medication and counseling ,all can be managed.
Let’s be kind and not callous as Christians . Our Master is full of love .

You’re right about one thing: women don’t owe undesirable men sex.

Nobody is entitled to someone else’s body, attraction, or affection.

But you’re mixing up two completely different things.

If your argument is “nobody owes anybody anything,” then fine. Men don’t owe women protection, provision, sacrifice, or labor either.

You can’t tell men, “That’s just biology. Some men simply won’t reproduce. Accept it,” and then turn around and expect men to keep fulfilling all the traditional roles that benefit women.

If women are free to say, “I don’t need men, and I don’t owe men anything,” then men are equally free to say, “Fine. I don’t owe you anything either.”

That’s the part yall conveniently leave out.

You don’t get to use NATURE as an excuse when it disadvantages men and then use social expectations or “ RIGHT THING to do” when it benefits women.

If we’re really accepting “that’s just life,” then let’s accept the whole thing. Simple.
