There is always an urge to add fresh new capital late in a bull market or often near a local top, and directed towards the more speculative side of the market. (FOMO essentially).
Fresh capital is generally weaker handed as the trader increases position size beyond the comfort zone. So it’s easily shaken out once the market turns lower, resulting in a derisking at a low.
This greed driven process is how early Cycle investors quickly go from deep in profit to significantly underperforming, then eventually into a full tilt mode of chasing ever more speculative returns. That early entry and discipline is forgotten as the allure of riches takes hold.
There is only so much juice that can be comfortably squeezed out of a market. Anything more requires putting your head squarely on the block and a large element of luck.
I've acquired a significant share of $banana since August, and here's why I'm bullish on @bananagun:
1. Significant Market Share: Banana holds a top-3 position in the Telegram bot sector, commanding a notable 20% share of the trading volume.
2. Low P/E Ratio: Banana generates revenue comparable to the largest wallet players like Metamask and Thorchain($RUNE). However, it trades at just 1/10 of $RUNE market cap and 1/5 of its fully diluted valuation (FDV). Its annualized P/E ratio is only around 0.93, signaling significant undervaluation. Banana is also the only protocol with a market cap under $150M among the top 20 protocols (by revenue).
3. Hold to Earn Real Cash Flow: Unlike most staking protocols that inflate rewards, Banana allows you to earn real cash flow simply by holding the token on-chain, with no need to stake. Rewards, paid in SOL and ETH, range from 8% to 20%, depending on protocol revenue. With the Fed cutting rates, more investors are likely to seek assets offering solid ROI like $banana.
4. Trendy with Bull Cycles: Telegram bots like Banana tend to ride broader market pumps. The increased demand for trading meme tokens during a bull market makes them more likely to follow uptrends, positioning Banana well to capitalize on bullish cycles.
5. Binance Listing: Banana is the only Telegram bot token listed on Binance, a clear signal of its growing legitimacy and adoption in the market.
6. Responsible Team: One thing that stands out about Banana is their responsible attitude in handling the recent unexpected incident. Despite the limited number of affected users (only 11 in total), Banana quickly refunded all users without selling any tokens.
Notably, this was not a major security breach, but rather a vulnerability in the message oracle. Banana took immediate action by shutting down the bot, investigating the issue, and redeploying with stronger security measures. This gives me even more confidence in the team's dedication to security and user trust.
Looking forward to seeing how @bananagun continues to evolve and thrive in the market! 🚀
