@Lanalbb@swiftyandbabyc u do realize the significance of grammy right? and u do know what grammy museum and their workshops for songwriters/musicians are right? This is not an interview with a media outlet …
@hazzabopp@Markfolklore@MainStUSAFan ok so maybe you’re not a fan of satirical lyrics?
that’s okay. but “self-aware and melodramatic” lyrics are common in taylor’s work: blank space, anti-hero, shake it off, look what u made me do, daddy i love him. that’s what makes her an impactful songwriter tbh
@hazzabopp@Markfolklore@MainStUSAFan i think we just have different subjective opinions and preferences, but i still don’t see how your point “taylor does not care about her craft” stands. Perhaps u just don’t like her new lyrics and that’s okay. Just enjoy Olivia’s new work i guess.
@hazzabopp@Markfolklore@MainStUSAFan i’m glad u enjoy olivia’s music with taylor’s similar writing style. that’s great. but that still does not explain how taylor “not care” about her craft when you hv to look into the background of Elizabeth Taylor to understand the song or know about Shakespeare’a Ophelia
@hazzabopp@Markfolklore@MainStUSAFan ur not even making sense
If u love taylor’s songs before TTPD, then those lyrics are the ones u “claimed” to love. Olivia’s lyrics are just a copy …
Then how does that lead to the conclusion that Olivia care more about her work when she just copied and pasted..
@hazzabopp@MainStUSAFan u bringing Wood just proved my point …
there are actually literary metaphors and lyrics that u need to decode in Wood while keeping it witty and naughty with a Jackson 5-similar rhythm
Bad idea right is just a naughty pop song about booty call and sleeping with ex
@hazzabopp@MainStUSAFan the second u brought Olivia to this discussion
u lost all the credibility …
it seems that ur not care about the lyrical content of taylor’s songs but more about social media hype
good luck listening to olivia singing “yes i know that he’s my ex i tripped and fell onto his bed”
@_thick_skull in no way it is 2014 😭
whatever people wanna call it, pop-punk or not, it does remind me of Avril and Paramore (not the exact same sound or music)
punk police strict asf saying what’s punk in this but a song dedicated for their bond and after the coming out of their trans non binary member in the japanese political climate IS punk especially for a group like xg who didn’t conform to beauty standards and always alternative
