Fellow meteorologists have every right to question NWS decisions. However, sitting behind a keyboard questioning them in the heat of battle is not constructive. We put the public in an impossible position (should they act or not?) and it sews distrust among us all. Send an email.
Regardless of warning performance, openly discrediting the weather service has the same effect on the public as warning fatigue. These (needed) discussions should be held internally, not in the public where thousands of people are reading that "the NWS is not worth listening to".
