The pathway for GameStop to issue tokenized shares wasn't explicitly possible until last month. It makes a hell of a lot more sense why Ryan Cohen would have authorized $2 billion of share buy backs. He could buy back shares on the corrupt market, and then sell them back on the blockchain market where they can't be counterfeit.
