Meeting Challenges has made who I am.
A truly memorable day as we witnessed the Presidential Installation of @arthur_byara marking the beginning of a new chapter of leadership, service, and impact.
The occasion was made even more special as we celebrated 40 years of the @RCEntebbe unwavering commitment to Service Above Self. For four decades, the club has transformed lives, strengthened communities, and inspired positive change through countless service projects and humanitarian initiatives.
Congratulations to President Rtn. Arthur on your installation. May your year be filled with purpose, innovation, fellowship, and meaningful service.
Happy 40th Anniversary to my club Rotary Club of Entebbe! Here’s to celebrating a rich legacy and continuing to create lasting impact for generations to come.

Dr. Lawrence Muganga’s ministerial appointment: legal versus espionage questions.
The legal issue is: Does the nominee hold dual citizenship? Under the law, dual citizens are barred from Cabinet positions. If Muganga were a Muganda "kaswa," investigators would ignore his tribe and focus strictly on his passports. The same must apply here.
Conflating the indigenous Banyarwanda tribe with Rwandese citizenship (NB: the two are different in law and fact) to fearmonger about "espionage" is unhistorical. Commentators like in https://t.co/zNeaaY982z cite Eli Cohen, but that's a rare anomaly. Espionage history shows a very large percentage of foreign spies are actually citizens who betrayed their own countries. Ever heard also of the "Cambridge Five" led by Kim Philby? They were elite British citizens, not foreign nationals. It is my considered opinion that vetting against espionage shouldn't profile ethnicity; it should instead analyze a candidate's current espionage agent status and/or their susceptibility to the actual bases of spy agent recruitment: Materialism, Ideology, Compromise or Ego (popularly called the MICE framework in intelligence tradecraft).
Feeding the "madman". During fasting month (Muslims and Christians), we mobilised funds to feed the mental health victim. Our partner restaurant has committed to feed him for a full year. Thanks to the donor Rotarians on Entebbe Road and the personnel of UN Entebbe. Join us next

Christine Mawadri, widely known as Kabatongole, started her career as one of Uganda’s first-generation FM radio presenters, rising in the early 1990s as a fresh female voice on Radio Sanyu before becoming a defining figure at Capital Radio, where she co-hosted the iconic morning show alongside Alex Ndawula.
Born to Lt. Col. Chris Mawadri and Beatrice Kabahenda Mawadri, she was educated at Lake Victoria Primary School, Buganda Road Primary, and Mt. St. Mary’s College Namagunga, later earning a degree in Industrial and Fine Art from Makerere University.
She quickly became one of the standout personalities of Uganda’s emerging private radio era, admired for her calm, confident delivery and ability to hold audiences in both entertainment and serious discussion. After Capital Radio, she went on to work with stations including Monitor FM (later KFM) and held senior leadership roles such as Programmes Director at Dembe FM.
Her career later expanded into media management and innovation, including executive roles at NRG Radio Uganda, where she contributed to building a youth-focused, digital-first station. She has also been involved in tech and creative ventures, including Cutana Technologies and Peto Digital.
Beyond broadcasting, Mawadri is recognized as a mentor, pastor, and media strategist who helped shape Uganda’s modern radio culture and elevate women in broadcasting leadership.
I'm happy to announce that we raised over 1 billion Uganda shillings during the birthday run. I shall soon announce the charities we shall support and handover cheques to them. Thank you all for your support.
This man. His name is George Bush Ochieng @Ochieng1908. Many times I wonder what he’s made of. I even don’t know whether he operates from the power of his organs or has a generator fixed somewhere in his body. A former public servant & now serving the UN, church, community where he lives, the youth, @Rotary etc. He’s astute, kind, cheer giver, philanthropist, problem solver, apt, none assuming, Mr. Fix it, family man, and always smiling. Bush, God gave you to the world. It seems to me the reason was not you but us. You’ve used your life to do exactly what God created you for. You’ve put smiles on the faces of very many people many of whom you will never know. The youth exchange programs you’ve made, the Global Grant applications you have written, the grants you have implemented and supervised, the voices you’ve represented in high level meetings you’ve attended, the money you’ve withdrawn from you account and pocket to save someone from disease, hunger, accident, or keeping at home for lack of school fees. I can write the whole day and yet, will not exhaust your contribution to man kind. Let me wish you a happy birthday and ask God to bless you with very many healthy years on earth. May the grace of God always abound in your heart and soul. Kahangaare. 🙏🏾 @RCEntebbe
14 year old Chloe is the last patient worked on by the Egyptian cardiologists led by Prof Amal (right). All patients are recovering well. Rotary Entebbe is proud to have arranged this vocational team. #rotaryeyamba
I want to thank everybody who supported in whichever way to the success of today's run for charity and hope. You are all the best Ugandans we have. Thank you so much for contributing to the betterment of less fortunate citizens. I will announce how much we raised and what charity we shall support. God bless you all. Muraregye.
