#GeoBasis maintaining the #automatic #cameras at 300 masl in #Kobbefjord. If this is not "living on the edge" what is? Doing #fieldwork for @GEM_Arctic in #Greenland. Video by @Scheller

9 days of #GeoBasis #fieldwork in #Kobbefjord done. The communication mast didn't survive the winter, but our messy logger cabinet got a complete makeover, new sensors were installed and all #fluxstations are now up and running. And still no mosquitoes! @GEM_Arctic #Greenland

#ClimateBasis have been poking around in a new river in #Kobbefjord, looking for a good spot for a new mini hydro station. Hopefully, this little stream draining the #GlacioBasis Nuuk glacier will get its own sensors soon. #Arctic #Greenland #Hydrology #Fieldwork @GEM_Arctic

With the new snow on the mountains it almost felt like October in #Kobbefjord today. #Greenland #Arctic @GEM_Arctic

After a week of heavy rain, snowmelt and cancelled trips to #Kobbefjord, #BioBasis and #GeoBasis finally made it to the field today and found the river like this. Now we can't wait to see the water level and precipitation data from #ClimateBasis! @GEM_Arctic #Greenland #Arctic

Still plenty of snow on north facing slopes. But #BioBasis managed to set up several pit fall traps and #ITEX hexagons. #fieldwork #Greenland @GEM_Arctic #Arctic

After the disappointment of Wednesday, #GeoBasis is happy to announce that all ice is now finally out of #Kobbefjord. Let the field season begin!! #Fieldwork #Greenland #Arctic @GEM_Arctic

Last week #ClimateBasis and #GeoBasis went for the first field trip of the year to #Kobbefjord for the annual snow survey. One drone flight, six snowpits, snow depth transects and grids, blue sky and five km of fjord ice. @GEM_Arctic #snowsurvey #fieldwork #Greenland #Arctic

A few frosty days right before the autumn trip to the #ClimateBasis gauging stations in #Kobbefjord offered a rare treat: the chance to sit next to our pressure sensors in the river. @GEM_Arctic #Greenland #hydrology #fieldwork

Winter has come and today #GeoBasis started closing down i #Kobbefjord. Tubes for the auto chambers are disconnected and will be waiting for spring in our cabin, while the instruments are shipped to Denmark for calibration and service. @GEM_Arctic #fieldwork #Greenland
