A new pipeline would be welcome.
But the MOU is not just about a pipeline. It risks burdening Alberta’s existing oil, gas, and power production with Ottawa’s carbon-cost structure.
That means Alberta pays real costs now for uncertain approval later.
This is exactly why Alberta needs independence: so we can build, produce, and trade without Ottawa’s permission.
If Alberta’s existing exports to the U.S. already face a price discount, then adding new carbon costs to that same production only deepens the problem.
You do not fix a discount by increasing your own costs.
You fix it by removing barriers, expanding production, and restoring Alberta’s control over its own economy. Alberta independence fixes it. https://t.co/70SdJ6CVcj
Alberta’s goal should be simple: produce more, sell more, and keep more of the value created by our resources.
But Ottawa's carbon taxes and Net Zero compliance costs move us in the opposite direction.
They raise the marginal cost of oil, natural gas, and electricity in Alberta while our U.S. competitors face no equivalent carbon tax.
Alberta independence is not Brexit.
Brexit moved Britain away from its largest customer.
Alberta independence would let Alberta move closer to its largest customer, negotiate directly with the world’s largest economy, and stop being held back by Ottawa’s carbon taxes, caps, bans, and delays. https://t.co/70SdJ6CVcj
🚨BREAKING: A new independent national poll shows Alberta independence support has surged to 40.9%.
The sample was smaller, but unlike the major polling firms, this wasn’t another narrative-driven poll designed to demoralize the movement.
Alberta Independence must be more than a political objective. It must be backed by a clear, credible transition plan.
That means answering the real questions: law, currency, taxation, trade, pensions, borders, institutions, and governance.
That work is now underway.
The Trudeau Liberals' record after 8 years:
Higher debt, higher inflation, higher taxes.
Their spending, your bill.
Stop their inflationary debt spiral: https://t.co/VKlHzrEpza
@KeepAlbertaRCMP It’s amazing every time I click on one of these promoted tweets to check the comments, the RCMP are just getting evicerated. Good marketing spend RCMP! 😂
@nationalpost That is why I carry GunGuard insurance from CapriCMW for this exact scenario. They will provide defense experts and expanses for defending one’s self in court.
They have reached the critical mass where they are no longer a service oriented, friendly, Western Canadian company. Just another big corporation AC2.0!
@CanyonMatt@WBrettWilson My buddy Corey barely made it home the other day after traveling from his place in Artesia, to Okotoks, to his office in the NE, and back home. Full charge the night before.
