It doesn’t matter if the man killed by ICE in Maine was authorized to work in the United States or not. It doesn’t matter if he had a social security or not. ICE should not be killing anyone. Period.
ICE killed a 26-year-old Colombian man in Biddeford, Maine.
He was legally authorized to work in the U.S. and had a Social Security number. His wife and 3-year-old daughter were in the car when ICE fired at least five shots into the vehicle.
He was not the person ICE was looking for.
An eyewitness says an SUV struck his vehicle before the shooting and heard him say, “I tried to stop.”
The ICE agents involved were not wearing body cameras.
https://t.co/du9bv2U4pY highlights a simple reality: when masked, unidentified people in unmarked vehicles try to ram you off the road, it can be extraordinarily difficult to know who they are or how to comply.
That is why identification, body cameras, transparency and accountability matter.
Without them, this is not legitimate law enforcement. It is fascism.

Conservatives: If you stand in front of a car it should be allowed to run you over
Also conservatives: If an unidentified agent of the state stands in front of your car, he should be allowed to shoot you to death
MAGA 2021: “Don’t tell me to wear a mask.” “Don’t force a vaccine.” “Don’t tell me to stay home.”
MAGA 2026: “Just follow orders.” “Have your papers ready.” “Comply. Don’t die.”
The ICE agents who shot and killed a 26-year-old father in Biddeford, Maine, were searching for a different person, per DHS Sec. Markwayne Mullin.
The man they shot was authorized to work in the United States and had been issued a Social Security number.
Hey Donnie, we found some more voter fraud...
Meet MAGAt Bruce Bartman, a registered Republican from Marple Township, Pennsylvania, who pleaded guilty in April 2021 to committing voter fraud during the 2020 presidential election.
Bartman used the Pennsylvania online voter registration portal to register his deceased mother, Elizabeth Bartman, and his deceased mother-in-law, Elizabeth Weihman to cast illegal votes for Donald Trump.
His defense attorney stated Bartman was isolated due to COVID-19, influenced by political "propaganda," and viewed his action as a misguided form of civil disobedience to support Donald Trump.
Bartman was charged by the Delaware County District Attorney's office and pleaded guilty to two felony counts of perjury and one misdemeanor count of illegal voting. He was sentenced Bartman to five years of probation.
@WolfBronsky I don't believe you had watched his films. Batman trilogy, Prestige, Tenet, Oppenheimer - all of those films are about bad right wing ideas brought to life, criticizing things like vigilantism or late stage capitalism or anti-communist moral panick of the right.
ICE has tried to paint these three people as terrorists, but ICE is the one terrorizing our communities—killing people in the streets and tearing families apart with impunity.
Abolish ICE and prosecute every agent who has committed illegal acts.
OMG
Authorities in New Mexico claim the Department of Justice is interfering with the investigation into Epstein's former ranch.
Not suspicious at all!
@DC_Draino They’re not going to pass a blatantly unnecessary, unconstitutional bill to please one old dotard who wants to stay in office forever—spending taxpayer money on vanity projects.
He’s a lame duck come Jan. Republicans are done with him. They’ll say he’s leaving for health reasons
MAGA world is using this “illegal voter” arrest as proof of “Democrat election fraud.” Turns out she’s a donor to a Trump-endorsed MAGA candidate. https://t.co/IUUmaJonTX
In the Democratic Party if you are credibly accused of rape, the whole party apparatus comes down to end your political career and you become a pariah.
In the Republican Party, if a jury finds you liable for rape they nominate you for President.
