Huge shout out to the hard working APPs along with doctors, nurses, environmental services, security and everyone else that have been staying @RoswellPark since Friday to care for our patients during this state of emergency /blizzard. Proud to be a part of this amazing team.
The criteria of sFLC >100 alone was debated heavily before we could agree to the 2014 diagnostic criteria update. Several KOLs did not agree. Main reason is that sFLC are very unstable and unreliable. Study at #ASH21 suggests that additional data by UPEP helps to interpret #mmsm
Feels like the whole hospital @RoswellPark is celebrating our amazing #myeloma patient who survived #COVIDー19 with 5 weeks of intubation - praise the Lord. @RoswellStrong
And just when it feels like the world is getting too dark, we’re reminded that humans are full of love, and the future is full of hope.
Choose hope. Choose love.
27 mg/m2 twice weekly no worse and LESS toxic than 56 mg/m2 twice weekly Carfilzomib (S1304) in relapsed #myeloma. Hard to integrate this with ARROW trial at 70 mg/m2 weekly. Perhaps Cmax is more important for efficacy than AUC with Carfilzomib? #mmsm https://t.co/LPJ7eb7501
#ASH19 While we are thrilled with results of 4 drug regimens for myeloma that cost a ton, we need to be mindful that lenalidomide maintenance is reimbursed in only 6 countries worldwide— a regimen that showed survival benefit years ago. We need to advocate for affordability.
@End_myeloma received richly-deserved applause for his work and inclusion achievements in MASTER trial to use MRD measurements to safely end #myeloma therapy. The applause choked him up! I know how many years he has worked to make this trial happen for patients. Thank you Luciano
Drs. Merz, and Mohammadpour are being honored at #ASH19 while @YAbdouMD will be recognized for three breast cancer research projects at #SABCS19. https://t.co/hUvCRejNzn
Congrats to @DrSarahHolstein for presenting work from her lab focused on the development of geranylgeranyl diphosphate synthase inhibitors for myeloma. #ASH19#NeedHerScience
