Kansas voters have rejected a constitutional amendment that would have allowed the Legislature to further restrict abortion access in the state.
The vote was the first statewide referendum on abortion since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. https://t.co/c4Mziu46Ho
White women, a privilege you've probably never thought of:
White boys and men commit most mass shootings. Notice how there's nobody asking you how you raise your kids. There's no nonprofit reports blaming you for societal problems.
Black moms don't get that luxury.

This anti vote rhetoric is dangerous in KS rn. I understand not trusting the system but it is important we turn out for the abortion amendment in KS on 8/2/22. This is NOT voting for a candidate but voting for your RIGHTS. if passed the KS leg will take 1 sec to outlaw abortion
On August 2, Kansas will face the first vote on reproductive freedom in the US following this decision. The constitutional amendment on the KS ballot will pave the way for a total ban on abortion. We must vote NO! Help us fight back! Donate now: https://t.co/63cnvQrFj6 #RoeVWade
The idea that a basic right you hold could disappear overnight is unfathomable. Many in shock now. But for Native people, especially for Native women, it has been our reality that court cases and policies take and take, as that is the way of settler colonialism. #RoeVWade
Abortions aren’t only for unwanted pregnancies. I had 3 for wanted pregnancies. They don’t care if Black mothers live or die. Black mothers are 4X more likely to die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth. So I didn’t need this BS today to know what you think about us.
I never ask this, but I'm asking now: Please retweet this.
Texas plans to kill Melissa Lucio in four days. Five jurors say evidence was withheld from them. A bipartisan majority of the Texas legislature favors clemency. Why are you waiting, @GovAbbott?

Our district just shut down for 2 days.
We have 20% of our staff out sick in the second largest district in the state. Not to mention 1500 new students testing positive last week.
Our state has made it illegal for KS schools to shut down/go virtual for more than 40 hours. (1)
