Kicking off their annual visit to Northern Ireland, The King and Queen joined a showcase of music and culture at Thompson Dock in Belfast.
Founded in 1951, The Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann is widely regarded as the world’s largest annual festival of traditional Irish music, song and dance. This August, the Fleadh will come to Belfast for the first time.
🥃 The King and Queen also heard about Titanic Distillers’s whisky-making process. The distillery is housed within the restored Edwardian pumphouse that helped launch the famous ship.
The King and Queen have arrived in Belfast today for a royal visit.
Charles and Camilla were treated to a performance of Irish music and dancing at an event celebrating Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, which is coming to the city in August.
