But Thousand Sons and Genestealer Cults exist. I’ve also spent a lot of time painting trim on Chaos Space Marines. There are levels of pain!

@0xjosval @NASA Moon is much closer and easier. Gravity well is easy to get out of. Has fairly easy access for concrete equivalents, silicone, oxygen, and various metals. Absolutely no concern about pollution or industrial development

Good test bed for future exploration of Mars etc

Anything useful will need power, which means it needs to dissipate heat, which is easy to detect against the cold of deep space

A very small object with no power could be hard to detect, but wouldn’t be very useful

@NoLifeJordan69 We have more astronauts than we have crewed missions in general so until now there has been a bit of a waiting list. So the ones picked especially for high profile missions tend to be experienced and older

But hopefully that will change as things ramp up
