Officiating contact downfield requires patience because once a decision is made, consequences can be critical. In the #RoseBowl, the contact between the WR and DB is mutual (hand-fighting). IMO this doesn't rise to the level of a foul by either player.

I don’t know how to feel about the call on Cody Eakin. I’m one sense I see this sort of play not called but then again I can remember multiple times while playing where a hard crosscheck after a face off gets called. Ultimately I think it’s just a judgement call #NHLPlayoffs
