@squiglwigl The reason they had to buy the Israeli restaurants instead of just closing them down is because franchisees are protected against wrongful terminations of franchisor contracts.
@squiglwigl Idk why this was on my feed, but I just want to say that McDonalds bought out all of the Alonyal Limited franchises specifically to stop them from donating food to the IDF, which was the original intention of the McDonalds boycott.
@AnaveiLOL @christmastaco @improvement_26 A) "Clove" is a single syllable, same convenience as a pronoun.
B) Obviously you should not be saying Chamber twice? It's very clear that the pronoun in the second statement is referring to Chamber.
"Clove showers, they're close" has the same effect if you aren't a dumbass.
@ultraL2 @improvement_26 "Where is Clove?"
"They're in shower!"
"Where are last two?"
"They're in shower!" or "Clove shower, Brim short!"
When has this every been an issue LMAO
You don't go "She main, he site, he heaven!" when talking about multiple people, why would you refer to clove as just "They?"
@pattern_scout @JordanAtki59229 The heat map proves neither of y'alls (implied) points. The correlation (if any) of blue counties to unemployment rates is most likely because unemployed people are generally more likely to vote blue.

@ltyost@GugaJyouki the idea of being non-binary? i don't think that's complex. adopting non-binary wording in languages, however, is a different and more difficult task. short term language change is often driven by the youngest generation, so it is somewhat possible, though unlikely for a while.
@GugaJyouki in the 1700s "he" was proposed to be used as a singular gender neutral pronoun in writing (along with the masc form), and it was used often in that sense until the mid-twentieth century where "they" became the preferred singular gender neutral pronoun. language is malleable 🤷♀️
@GugaJyouki i don't think that your google translate example is exactly a good one as a lot of the languages on google translate tend to give you whatever the language's neuter plural third person pronoun is from my checking
@DemocracyIsGhey there's plenty of evidence of nonbinary/genderqueer/transgender people having been around for millennia. the new thing here is actually the hatred for those who don't fit into the binary.
@GugaJyouki the only example i can think of that fits your way of thinking would be when "latinx" was pushed as a more correct term, to which there was great pushback. i haven't seen someone use "latinx" since. if you have any other examples, i'd like to hear them.
@GugaJyouki@Glorxous@Mount_Oza@sznbread@ValorantUpdated for one, masc-fem gendered languages are a minority. second, nobody is forcing you into changing the gender of objects (i've never met a queer person who cared about gendered objects). it's not that far fetched to call a speaker of your own language by what they want to be called
My indie game I worked on for 10 years was immediately bumped off of New & Trending by @EA spam releasing 11 titles at once.
All of the built-up marketing and momentum squashed in an instant.
