@Reekyracer@blowingtom2@ModPrimitive88 Also has a bit more on his plate then just flying around the country telling everyone that βAustralians have had a gutfulβ
@Patriot__au@sydney_ev The generators donβt dictate the price. It is the market via supply and demand. That is why gas gens are peak power only. They fire them up when the spot price is high and turn them off when it low. Otherwise it costs them money. Coals do not have this option.
@Patriot__au@sydney_ev Thanks Brad. But you may find that most of the coal:gas gens are in spot pricing buddy. So it is great if there is a spike but not so great when renewables eat into your margin. That is why they need to be propped up. Maybe some research your side might be a good idea. π
@Patriot__au@sydney_ev Battery is not a generator. This is correct Brad. But it does/will negate the need for generation during the nighttime peak. Which is currently the only time that coal and gas gens make money.
@chennyalan@pors@jeremyphoward Still. The top 2 highest attended rugby league state of origin matches were both in Melbourne. We donβt fark around when it comes to sport
@gltsry190005@tjwhisenhu83875@AUSFUTNews lol dude. Turkey can now talk amongst themselves about how awesome they are on the plane ride home. We will see them in another 20 years.
@GiantMinority@nuclearforaus The problem is that it is stupidly expensive and would take way too long to build. Whereas you can have a wind farm or solar hybrid done in a couple of years
@JLopean@OMGTheMess@OneNationAus lol dude. Gina Reinhardt is not working class and if you believe that helping the working class is why she bounces out of bed in the morning then I suggest that may have drunk a bit too much today.
@Gdhilly111111@Davemcl70700812@Peter_Fitz Hmmm, are you just baiting interactions or do you really believe this. A quick google would poke quite a lot of holes in your suggestion/argument.
@Batman2242@ajaxcoriolis@macsween_prue Sure. Iβll bite. Wayne swan attended a CBUS dinner that cost $400k to put host. Which does sound a a lot for a member first organisation. Although Probably not for a corporate. Iβm pretty certain that he didnβt personally get paid $400k as you infer
@Batman2242@macsween_prue I should not have called you an idiot. Uncalled for.
Industry super funds donβt have shareholders.
All their profits go back to you. As corporate entities. They will minimise tax. But that helps you out in the long run anyway
@strangerous10 They both made very valid points. But speersy was trying to get him to say that we do not need subs or major defence spending. IMHO the greens defence policy is to scare off combatants with a dazzling display from the roulettes.
