@james82475 Thanks for responding to all those bad takes. I kept agreeing with you. Went back to a couple of those guys and now there being optimistic or deleting their tweets. 🤣
@KrispLaKreme Except you deleted your tweet calling Hortiz the worst GM and trashing every move. At least own it instead of pretending you weren’t one of those guys. Deleting receipts doesn’t change the takes. 😭
I’m enjoying all the reactions from Chargers fans today. The good, the bad, the overreactions and in between. If you feel the need to mute and unfollow people over this just log off and take a couple days away. It is not that serious lol
@KrispLaKreme Cool, the Bears made moves—so did plenty of teams that still wont be contenders. Overpaying for aging linemen in a weak FA class isnt ‘fixing’ the interior, its setting yourself up for regret later. The offseason isn’t over, the draft hasn’t happened, and games arent won in march
@KrispLaKreme Ah yes, the Bears—who just went 5-12 and set a franchise record for consecutive losses—are the gold standard now? Winning free agency doesn’t mean winning actual games (see: 2022 Broncos). The offseason isn’t over, and last I checked, rosters aren’t finalized in March.
@KrispLaKreme Like I said that’s your opinion, but even if it was a stupid mistake. One mistake is not enough to compare this moment to staley. Like we’re not even close here. Staley made mistakes year after year. Hortiz just took us to 11 wins last year. Let it play out
@KrispLaKreme It could be or it might not be. Like I said, this isn’t the final product that’s going into game 1 so I can’t say he’s as worse as staley. I’m gonna let the offseason play out before making these bold opinions
@TylerMWeiss_ Free agency isn’t just the first 48 hours. There are still second and third waves, post-draft cuts, trades, and, oh yeah, the draft itself. Roster building doesn’t stop because a few big names signed. The right moves take time
@TylerMWeiss_ Well, we agree on two things: first, you don’t waste big money on the wrong guy. Second, this free agency class is bad. This FA class barely had any right guys. Best move is waiting for the right opportunity instead of forcing a bad one.
@TylerMWeiss_ So the lesson from JC Jackson is… spend big on the wrong guy? Got it.
Maybe the smarter play is to not force bad contracts in a weak FA class and instead keep cap flexibility for actual difference-makers. But hey, keep chasing mid if that’s the strategy.
@TylerMWeiss_ If it's a bad free agency class, why would you pay mid players big contracts? Why wouldn't you sign value guys and save the money to next year when you'll have a better FA market. We'll also know which draft picks hit at that point and which ones missed?
