Just discovered that my daughters used this as the “fake number” to give to boys who asked and I am so proud… oh and the boys had NO IDEA what the phone number meant and thought they were getting a real number. Did I say proud?? ;) :)

@corsent A friend is adopting his adult step daughter, after the recent divorce from her mother. It’s been heartwarming as an adoptee to see a man wanting to legally formalize his 20+ year relationship with his daughter. It’s heartbreaking as a mom to see the reaction of birth mom.

@CelesteFinally Thanks for sharing. In 2021, I broke up with my therapist for suggesting that I “respect” that a family member misgenders my child because … (checks notes) “religion”. You will find a good therapist to validate you as a woman and your experiences as a woman.

After spending a few days in the hospital, it’s nice to be out, sharing happy hour dinner with 2/3 of my offspring. All is well. I’m the one having a therapeutic glass of red wine. She’s having a bourbon peach smash and he’s having a tequila thyme. Signature drinks for 2 of us.

This new rule would affect 3.6 million salaried workers, effectively ending a major and regular abuse by corporations where they force salaried employees to work for free. This is a huge labor win. Being announced right before Labor Day is just icing on the cake.
