The only thing I ask before I buy a new bag is if it can hold:
a book (or books)
multiple water bottles
a variety of medication
my makeup bag
18 random colored pens
wallet
keys
sunglasses
regular glasses
school stuff that I need to take home
whatever else I need

@anya1anya I wish it had been available earlier, as I did contract it while teaching hybrid. As we're not sure about how long antibodies last/rate of re-infection, I'd feel better having access to it asap. My school is going to all in-person instruction in 3 weeks.
@lizziefortin I honestly teach as if everyone is virtual - made all documents/notebooks/etc. digital, and I teach everyone from Zoom at my desk. I mostly address the camera, but I acknowledge those in my room and answer questions from both. (My school has us doing live classes)
I do not believe these are days for mincing words. I’m 63 1/2 years old & I have never seen anything in these United States of America I found more astonishingly seductive & dangerous to the saints of God than Trumpism. This Christian nationalism is not of God. Move back from it.
"We read actual books and novels in our Reading class."
It's insane that this sentence was a welcome surprise to my 6ths who are new to our school. They were used to 100% iReady during ELA. #letthemread#iteach56
@tiffanymjewell Just ended week 2 hybrid - while it is nice to see kids f2f, I'd rather return back to all remote. Cases going up in my area, and school feels kind of joyless when we can't interact like we normally would throughout the day. It's just so odd.

Ruby Bridges is only 66 years old. Was the first Black student to integrate an elementary school in the South. Another reminder that this history was not long ago at all.
Teachers Using Zoom:

PLEASE know this before asking your students, who are on Chromebooks, to use any of those features and BE PATIENT!
