Happy Thanksgiving! Here is a very majestic turkey from Wenzel Peter's Fall of Man in the Vatican Museums painted in the early 1800s. Maybe they celebrated Thanksgiving in Eden!

Just in case you need to hear this: You are necessary. You are loved. You have been won at a great price. God is love and He loves you totally and perfectly.
Wealth can force us to build walls. Jesus, instead, invites His disciples to transform goods and riches into relationships, because people are worth more than things, they are more valuable than any riches we possess.
Given today's news about the discoveries made at the National Trust's Oxburgh Hall in Norfolk, a brief thread about why we were there, and what was found. It isn't every day you recover medieval manuscripts, Tudor books, and C16th clothing from beneath the floor. #Thread

@anne_theriault Thank you so much for sharing! I was desperate to see this exhibition but unable to even before COVID 19, plus super bummed about COVID 19 making it difficult for so many to see it.
Hired as the first woman elevator operator at our @NMNH, Sophie Lutterlough studied the exhibits on her lunch break to better direct visitors. In 1957 she was hired as an insect preparator. She went on to research and classify insects, helping to discover 40 type specimens.
This witty Elsa Schiaparelli 1937 design was created with artist Jean Cocteau. Its one of my favourites, depicting a heavily beaded female face with cascading hair, her hand clasping silver threads. A pink signature of 'Jean' can be found just below the beaded arm. @ChicagoMuseum
