"The fluoridation of public water supplies is considered one of the most effective public health measures for the prevention of dental caries. Since its adoption in various Brazilian cities beginning in the 1970s, this initiative has contributed significantly to improving the population's oral health by reducing rates of tooth decay and expanding access to a universal, cost-free benefit."
tob works the way you already use claude code and chatgpt/codex: new topic, new conversation.
each bot can have as many conversations as you want, and its memory carries over to all of them. when one gets long, it tells you: summarize and continue, or start over.
one endless conversation with a "sliding window" that forgets or compacts the start isn't always the best.
every message carries everything in the window: the fuller it is, the more each reply weighs and the faster your limit runs out. and every compaction drops details.
@brocmayo quick update on this: as of today’s 0.8.7, every bot has its own Linux user, so one bot can’t read another’s folder, memory, terminal or browser anymore. the bots’ computer also lost access to your local network, only the internet now https://t.co/04XBzspdCQ
also in this one:
- approval cards in plain words, with colored code and the before/after of an edit
- connectors on in every bot
- lists instead of tables on a phone
- on long tasks the bot says what it's doing
hit Update in the app. all of it: https://t.co/5c5eYAJag4
AI bots that open sites, run commands and hand you the finished spreadsheet. running on your own computer, with the Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already pay for.
just shipped: Tob.
- each bot gets memory, routines and a computer of its own (browser, terminal, files)
- a chief-of-staff bot that talks to the others, plus group chats
- no analytics, no telemetry, no trackers. chats and files stay on your machine
- Mac, Windows and Linux, iPhone coming soon.
1 bot free forever. the whole team: $18 once, no subscription, 7-day trial.

agreed, it’s the whole game. my answer is a small blast radius, not a tight leash. new bots ask before each command; for long messy tasks you flip one to autonomous. then it can make a mess inside its box, but anything that leaves the box goes through a gate.
the box: bots run in a Docker container on your machine or your VPS, as a non-root user, Linux capabilities dropped, no-new-privileges, CPU and RAM limits. your files aren’t mounted unless you opt in (read-only by default), and the box’s disk is backed up daily.
honest caveats: all bots share one container and one Linux user, so the site allowlist is good-faith, not airtight. and a bot set to autonomous that gets prompt-injected can still wreck its own box.
Tob is brand new and this part will keep getting tighter, update by update. sandbox + approvals is the same tradeoff most agent tools make; my bet is visible gates and safe defaults. found a hole? tell me and I’ll fix it.

Tob 0.8.7 is out 🔒
yesterday someone asked how the bots are isolated. today every bot got its own Linux user: one bot's folder, memory, terminal, screen and browser are closed to the others.
and the bots' computer no longer reaches your local network, only the internet.
