It's quite astounding how many people are ready to give up and give in by not voting because things didn't turn out the way they wanted it to.

No, Congresswoman. You are not “facing 17 years in federal prison for doing your job and standing up to Trump.”

That is not what the indictment says.

You were conducting congressional oversight at Delaney Hall. That part WAS your job.

But federal prosecutors allege that when officers attempted to arrest Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, you physically interfered with that arrest, struck one federal officer with your forearm, grabbed him, and used your forearms against another officer.

THAT alleged conduct is what produced the three federal charges carrying a combined statutory maximum of 17 years.

You have every right to contest those allegations. You are presumed innocent. You can argue the prosecution is politically motivated, challenge the evidence, challenge the officers’ account and make every constitutional defense available to you.

But “I am facing 17 years for standing up to Trump” is political legerdemain.

Opposition to Trump is not the charged offense.

Congressional oversight is not the charged offense.

The alleged physical interference with federal officers is.

Those are materially different statements, and Americans deserve the whole story.

Police say they also stole GOODWILL DONATIONS FROM THE BACK OF HIS CAR after they repeatedly punched him, stole from his wallet, and then repeatedly STOMPED ON HIS HEAD.

The elderly man, Lance Jefferies, is currently recovering in the hospital.

According to family members, Lance's eyes are swollen shut. He has neck injuries, his jaw is swollen. He has blood clots in his leg and also in his stomach where he was kicked. So now he has to stay in the hospital so he can get surgery, and he’s in a lot of pain.”

Lance is described as "quiet man who rarely goes out much" and stays at home with his wife most of the time.

Please pray for his recovery.

The mother of murdered 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman says she could hear lawmakers laughing while she testified about losing her daughter, and she singled out Rep. Pramila Jayapal for telling the families there were “many other things we could be doing.”

Jessica Gorman didn't hold back Thursday.

“They give us five minutes to tell our daughter's story. Our dead children's story. She listened to four before mine. She didn't want to listen to another.”

Gorman also accused Rep. Jerry Nadler of napping during the congressional hearing.

Sheridan was an 18-year-old freshman at Loyola University Chicago when she was shot and killed near the Chicago lakefront in March. Jose Medina, a Venezuelan national who entered the U.S. illegally and had previously been released following a shoplifting arrest, is charged with her murder.

Jessica Gorman said the families came to Congress to tell lawmakers what happened to their children. Her message Thursday was simple: they deserved to be heard.

It's weird that Karen Basura will criticize Steve Hilton simply for being a foreign born candidate, but she won't criticize her own opponent (who's beating her) for being a foreign born Indian candidate who only moved to LA a few years ago.
