@AmperfleX Its really hard to say, because Hawaii has been a primary source of culture and ancestry to us but a huge dollar sign for everyone else. Shit, it still baffles me how so many people I met still never fucking knew that Hawaii WAS a state; or that "hawaiian" was an actual race.

@AmperfleX It just makes us angry. And people keep saying "But it's not on your island" it's still our state and it makes us question our own country a bit. Like wtf would happen if something similar or worse happened to a different island? No help? No response? Or, "no comment"??

So far we have raised $815 that will go straight to @HCFHawaii and their Maui Disaster Relief. I cannot believe we raised this much over so little time and we still have a lot more work to do.
