This afternoon, we’ve joined the City’s #TshwaneYaTima revenue recovery operation.
We have disconnected electricity at Try Again Cafe in Rethabiseng. The City is owed over R1.8 million.

I had an oversight visit joined by Energy and Electricity Business Unit officials at Klerksoord Substation in ward 98 and the Nelmapius Substation in Mamelodi , ward 86.
The purpose of these visits was to assess operational challenges , engage directly with officials on the ground , and work towards practical solutions.
These oversights engagements form part of our ongoing commitment to strengthening electricity infrastructure, improving network reliability , and ensuring sustainable service delivery to our communities.
By working together as a team, we are able to identify challenges early, implement corrective measures , and accelerate interventions that contribute to electricity stabilisation across the City.

The Chinese government saw the news of their people being caught selling counterfeit goods here in South Africa and instead of acting like victims and treating their citizens like Hero’s for breaking our laws! The first thing they did was to call out their citizens for breaking the laws of our country, told them that they don’t support their actions and offered support to South Africa… Now you guys tell me… WHY is it so difficult for African leaders to do the same? Why are they so hellbent on always assuming the position of being victims? Why are African leaders so afraid of taking responsibility and accountability??? Including our own??? Even their people have become obsessed with playing the victim card and using sad stories to justify breaking laws!!! Honestly why??
The real question before Johannesburg residents in 2026 is no longer simply who can win an election.
🟢It is who is genuinely prepared to fix and govern the city decisively.
Because Johannesburg does not need another political performance.
It needs leadership prepared to make the city work again.

This property last paid R57k in 2024 and they owe us R1,4m. We’ve ripped off the meter and welded the box.
Total job cards for Mamelodi West today amount to more than R60m.

@CityTshwane Eish hardi Mams... Le tla groover Ka Di kerese! People pay to get services at such restaurants and clubs it's only fair that the owners pay for the electricity, water, rates and taxes that is making them money.
The TMPD Cable Theft Unit received a tip off from ADT Security Company about 4 males who approached them, soliciting a bribe of R1,000 for permission to dig up cables at the corner of Rose and Julius Jeppe Street in Waterkloof on 25 May 2026.#TMPDsafety

I’m running for Mayor of Ekurhuleni because it’s unacceptable that criminals caught on Sizokthola are back on our streets days later.
I want to see them in jail, deported if they’re foreign nationals, and kept off our streets for good. I am stepping forward, to deliver real accountability, enforce the law without fear or favor, and make Ekurhuleni safe again.
